Mount Everest is in the Mahalangur Range. It is located on the border between Sagarmatha Zone, Nepal and Tibet, China and is a part of the Himalayan Mountain Range. It consists of different types of shale, limestone, and marble. It is covered with deep snow. Mount Kanchenjunga lies about 125km east-south-east of Mount Everest. Kanchenjunga is called ‘Five Treasures Snow’ because of its five high peaks. Three of the five peaks are on the border between North Sikkim and Nepal and two peaks are in Nepal’s at Taplejung District. It is the second highest mountain in the Himalayas.
The KanchenjungaHimal section of Himalayas lies both in Nepal and India and encompasses 16 peaks over 7000m in the north. It is a main highest mountain in India. Kanchenjunga has four climbing routes to reach the summit, three of which are in Nepal from the southwest, northwest, and northeast, and one from north-eastern Sikkim in India. From the hill station of Darjeeling, some of the most famous views of Kanchenjunga are seen.

Lhotse means “South Peak” in Tibetan. It is located on the border between Tibet region of China and the Khumbu region of Nepal. South of Mount Everest its east-west crest is located. The western flake of Lhotse is known as the ‘Lhotse Face’. Lhotse has three summits: Lhotse Main is 8,516 meters, Lhotse Shar is 8,383 meters and Lhotse Middle is 8,413 meters. The first climb on Makalu was made by an American team led by William Siri in the spring of 1954.

Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world at 8167 meters (26,795ft) above the sea level. It is located in north central Nepal. In Nepal, the Dhaulagiri massif extends 120 km from the Kali and I River west to the Bheri. On the north and southwest by the tributaries of the Bheri River, this massif is bounded and on the southeast by MyagdiKhola. Along the main crest, several pyramid-shaped peaks rise. In 1960, a Swiss-Austrian team and two Sherpa’s were first climbed the Dhaulagiri Mountain in Nepal.
The Mountain’s name Dhaulagiri, in Nepal which comes from Sanskrit, where ‘Dhawala’ means dazzling, white, beautiful and ‘Giri’ means mountain, meaning “White Mountain”. Dhaulagiri is also the highest point of the Gandaki river basin. It rises 7000m from the Kali Gandaki River 30km to the southeast.

In 1978, the American Women’s, a team led by Arlene Blum, became the first United States team to climb Annapurna. On 3rd February 1987, Jerzy Kukuczka and ArturHajzer made the first winter ascent of Annapurna.
